To ensure a smooth and professional experience for all clients, I use a small number of agreements and release forms as part of the booking process. These documents are designed to clearly outline expectations, protect both parties, and help everything run seamlessly from start to finish. Below is a summary of the types of paperwork you may be asked to review and sign prior to your session or project.

What to Expect - Following your enquiry and confirmation of availability, you will receive a digital agreement along with an invoice outlining the agreed services and payment schedule. Bookings are secured once the agreement has been signed and any required deposit has been received. All documents are provided electronically for ease and convenience.

Photographer Service Contract - This is the primary contract for your booking. It outlines the agreed services, session details, deliverables, timelines, and payment terms, along with policies relating to cancellations and rescheduling. Always required.

Payments & Invoicing - All bookings are accompanied by a formal invoice detailing the services provided and any applicable payment schedule. Deposits and final balances are due as outlined within your agreement and invoice. Booking dates are secured upon receipt of both a signed agreement and the required deposit. Always required.

Model Release Form - A model release grants permission for images including someone's likeness to be used in a professional portfolio, website, social media, or other promotional materials. This is entirely standard within the photography industry. If you have any concerns or would prefer limited usage, this can always be discussed in advance. Only required when people are involved.

Licensing Agreement ( Commercial Work) - For commercial or business clients, a licensing agreement defines how images may be used, who they can be used by,  the region they can be used in and the time period they can as well as the exclusivity. This ensures clarity around usage rights and protects the value of the work. Always required.

Licensing Agreement ( Non-Commercial Work) - - For non- commercial or non- business clients, a licensing agreement defines how images can be used for personal use. This ensures clarity around usage rights and protects the value of the work. Always required.

Property Release Form - For sessions taking place on private property or within certain venues, a property release may be required. This ensures that images captured at the location can be used appropriately where necessary. The client is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions and releases for locations used during the shoot, including property releases where required. The photographer shall not be held liable for any restrictions on the use of images resulting from failure to obtain such permissions. Typically only required when shooting on private property.

Print Release Form - A print release allows you to produce personal prints of your images. This does not transfer copyright ownership but grants permission for personal use printing. Available upon request.
