Welcome to Katie Caroline Photography (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and photography services.

By accessing this website or booking services with Katie Caroline Photography, you agree to these Terms.

1. Photography Services

Katie Caroline Photography provides photography services including, but not limited to:

• Portrait photography

• Wedding photography

• Event photography

• Commercial photography

• Lifestyle photography

• Creative/editorial photography

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

2. Booking and Deposits

A booking is only secured once a 30% non-refundable deposit has been received.

The deposit:

• Confirms and reserves your session date

• Is deducted from the final balance

• Is non-refundable if the shoot is cancelled for any reason

Remaining balances must be paid within 7 days of receiving the invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Invoices are issued directly to clients and payment is made via bank transfer using the details provided on the invoice.

Failure to pay invoices within the required timeframe may result in cancellation of services or withholding of final images.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If a client cancels a booking:

• The 30% deposit remains non-refundable

• Additional refunds are not guaranteed for cancellations made close to the booking date

Rescheduling requests may be accommodated at our discretion and are subject to availability.

Katie Caroline Photography reserves the right to reschedule or cancel sessions due to:

• Illness

• Emergencies

• Severe weather conditions

• Circumstances outside reasonable control

In such cases, every reasonable effort will be made to arrange an alternative date.

4. Image Delivery

Final edited images are typically delivered within 7–14 working days following the session date, unless otherwise communicated.

Delivery timelines may vary during peak seasons or due to unforeseen circumstances.

Images are delivered in edited digital format only.

5. Editing and Artistic Style

By booking Katie Caroline Photography, clients acknowledge and agree that:

• Editing style and artistic direction are at the photographer’s discretion

• Final image selection is determined by the photographer

• RAW/unedited files are not provided under any circumstances unless agreed in writing beforehand

6. Copyright and Usage Rights

Katie Caroline Photography retains full copyright ownership of all images unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clients receive permission for personal use of delivered images, including:

• Sharing on social media

• Printing for personal use

• Sharing with family and friends

Clients may not:

• Sell images

• Alter images significantly

• Apply heavy filters or edits

• Use images commercially without written permission

Commercial usage licenses may be arranged separately.

7. Portfolio and Social Media Use

Katie Caroline Photography reserves the right to use photographs for:

• Portfolio display

• Website content

• Social media promotion

• Marketing and advertising purposes

If a client wishes to request privacy or non-publication of images, this must be communicated in writing before the session.

8. Print Release Requests

Katie Caroline Photography does not directly sell prints.

Clients may request a print release form for personal printing purposes.

9. Website Use and Intellectual Property

All images, logos, text, branding, and content displayed on this website are the intellectual property of Katie Caroline Photography and are protected under UK copyright law.

You may not:

• Copy or reproduce website content

• Download or use images without permission

• Use any content for commercial purposes without written consent

Unauthorized use may result in legal action.

10. Limitation of Liability

While every effort is made to provide high-quality photography services, Katie Caroline Photography shall not be held liable for:

• Technical failures beyond reasonable control

• Loss of images due to equipment malfunction, theft, or unforeseen events

• Delays caused by circumstances outside our control

• Indirect or consequential losses

Liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the booked services.

11. Force Majeure

Katie Caroline Photography shall not be held responsible for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Severe weather

• Natural disasters

• Illness

• Government restrictions

• Transport disruptions

• Emergencies

12. Privacy

Any personal information collected through this website or during bookings will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.

Client information will never be sold or shared with third parties except where necessary to provide services or comply with legal obligations.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
