Copyright and Image Usage Policy

This Copyright and Image Usage Policy outlines the ownership, licensing, and permitted use of photographs created by Katie Caroline Photography.

By booking photography services or using images created by Katie Caroline Photography, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Copyright Ownership

In accordance with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, all photographs and images created by Katie Caroline Photography remain the sole intellectual property and copyright of Katie Caroline Photography unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Copyright is never transferred to clients.

Payment for photography services or image licensing does not constitute transfer of copyright ownership.


2. Personal Usage Rights

Upon full payment, clients are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use delivered images for personal purposes only.

3. Commercial Licensing

Commercial usage of images requires a separate written licensing agreement.

Vendors, collaborators, stylists, venues, makeup artists, models, and other creative partners may repost or use images only where usage has been agreed within a licensing agreement or written permission has been provided.

Collaborators may use approved images within their portfolios where agreed in advance.

Unauthorized commercial or promotional use is prohibited.


5. Portfolio, Website, and Promotional Usage

Katie Caroline Photography retains the right to use images for:

8. Print Release

Katie Caroline Photography does not directly sell prints.

Clients may request a print release form for personal printing purposes only.

A print release does not transfer copyright ownership or grant commercial usage rights.


9. Publication Licensing

Images may be licensed to publications, brands, or media outlets under separate licensing agreements.

Clients do not automatically receive rights to publish or distribute images commercially.


10. Unauthorized Use

Unauthorized copying, screenshotting, editing, cropping, reproduction, distribution, resale, AI usage, or commercial exploitation of images created by Katie Caroline Photography is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
